Kick-off Day! We met our customer Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) this morning. After close to an hours' ride in the busy traffic, it was nice to meet the team from the WEF. Dressed in typical formals, our sub-team was all set to make the first impact. And yes we did create a sense of purpose and the discussions and interactions helped us better understand the present issues. We would be heading to work with them late this week and are looking forward to see in what way we could make a positive impact to the women of Kenya.
After lunch, we headed to the Strathmore University - the customers of our peer team. It was a place full of life, passion and vigor. The students had immense interests and it was very interesting to note that they had clear goals and were working towards it with dedication. The interaction with them was just amazing. Two teams successfully completed their kick-off presentations today and the remaining two - Federation of Kenya Employers and Kenya Agribusiness and Agroindustry Alliance kick-off slots are scheduled for tomorrow. While the first two teams are now relaxing and taking a break after a late work night yesterday, the other two are heads down preparing for tomorrow.
